Idol Darin-themed episode: the performances

The long-awaited Darin-themed episode of Idol is now over. The show started with the performance of "Lovekiller" made by the four contestants together with Darin, then each contestant sang their own version of a song by the "king of Swedish pop", quoting what Warner Music Sweden wrote on Instagram some minutes before the show started.

However, this is probably not the only time this year that Darin appears on Idol. In fact, he might be there again on the grand final on December 5th, together with Loreen and Danny, as announced by Aftonbladet yesterday. But nothing has been confirmed yet.

Our photos from the show are up on our Facebook page.

Idol Darin-themed episode: the songs that will be performed

Yesterday we wrote about the Darin-themed episode of Idol that will be broadcast live this Friday.
Today the songs that the four remaining contestants are going to sing have been revealed. Here's the list:

Josefine Myrberg - Nobody Knows(Exit, 2012)

Lisa Ajax - Homeless(Break the News, 2006)

Ludvig Turner - Step Up(Darin, 2005)

Mollie Lindén - Why Does It Rain(The Anthem, 2005)

The songs were chosen by Darin himself who will also be their coach for this week. Along with those, the contestants are going to perform their own songs, written together with some producers during the competition, for the first time.

Idol will celebrate 10 years with a Darin-themed episode

As announced last week, Idol is going to celebrate Darin's 10 year anniversary since his breakthrough by dedicating a whole episode to him. Each contestant is going to sing one of Darin's songs and he will be there, of course, to perform.

The show will be broadcast on the swedish channel TV4 as well as online on TV4 Play this Friday 21st November at 20:00 CET.

Do you remember the last time Darin performed on Idol? It was in 2009 with "Viva La Vida". Watch it right below!
