Bubble Gum TV - New album in the summer?

Yesterday, Darin's interview with the German online channel Bubble Gum TV was posted on Youtube and finally, thanks to Darin Family VIP, we've got the translation of it from German to English. Read it carefully because the interviewer says something really unexpected at the end.

Darin sings.

Aah. Goosebumps. For Bubble Gum TV, Darin went back to his beginning and sang the song with which he started his career on Swedish Idol. Six albums later, he’s still in the business and is now trying to conquer Germany with his new single "So Yours".
- In "So Yours", I tell a girl that it doesn't have to be hard. I just say it like it is: I like you, you like me, what are we waiting for?

This song would appeal to all One Direction fans. Of course Darin's sound has more to offer. He allowed us an insight on how a typical Darin song develops.
- For me, it's all about feeling. There are others who see songwriting as a mathematical formula. Certainly it can be good to think about it like that sometimes. But for me, it has to start with emotion. I always have my own special melody. That's my strong side when I write songs. The production is a mix of R&B, pop, house, and rock, all in one.

Many number one places, a Swedish Grammy, gold, platinum, and a performance at the royal wedding of Princess Victoria of Sweden. But not all that glitters is gold, so Darin tells us.
- For a while I stopped singing. I haven’t done that before. I’ve been singing for my whole life. There was a time when I didn’t feel good, and didn’t want to do anything more. Not that I was tired of singing, because singing was the only thing that I was sure I wanted to always do. But I just needed a break. Therefore I started to travel, to find myself.

For example, a new inspiration came while diving in Brazil. The vigor with which Darin found himself on his dangerous adventure was also what RedOne loved.
- When we worked on my album Flashback, RedOne had started working with Lady Gaga. I still know, as he said to me, that he was working with this crazy girl who came into the studio in only a bra, underwear, and sunglasses. We also had a song with the same sound, and then she released "Just Dance", so I couldn't release "Girl Next Door" anymore. I thought, damn. But it's cool to work with him. RedOne is very talented.

Please lean back and fasten your seatbelts, because the landing is shortly ahead. You’ve noticed that in Sweden you won’t expect just delicious köttbullar (meatballs), moose, and Ikea, but also fantastic music, which is why we’d like to thank Darin. Oh, the pilot has just conveyed me the message that you can also expect a new album from Darin in Germany in the summer. Over and out!
