Så Mycket Bättre: Episode 5 and "Magdalena (Livet före döden)"

Last night Så Mycket Bättre aired for the fifth time on TV4. This time Darin was the first one to perform and his song was very different from the ones he had performed in the previous weeks.

It was Sylvia's day and Maja and Darin started preparing breakfast for Sylvia. Darin said that it felt like it was her birthday, so they decided to sing a birthday song for Sylvia when bringing her the breakfast in her room. After that, it was time for the first activity: cooking. They had to make weinerschnitzel for lunch.
Since Sylvia lives in Germany, during the cooking they all started to talk some german. Sylvia tried to teach Darin how to pronounce some words, but the result was not so good actually. Or well, they laughed at him.

Then it was time for lunch. Darin sang Magdalena (Livet före döden), a song in the style of Coldplay's Viva La Vida. In other words, he used the chords that he had rejected when doing his version of Coldplay's song. And in both cases he did a great job.
At the end of the performance, Sylvia said that it gave her goosebumps all over her body.
After lunch they went to the beach to do the second activity: there was a dancefloor and they had to dance some Samba. And well, Darin surely knows how to move his body.
While dancing, some professional samba dancers came and danced with them. Darin was probably the one who enjoyed the most that good company.
Back at the house, Darin said that he wanted to wear something special for Sylvia's dinner and explained that he had got a few suggestions by his stylist on what to wear. He showed a few photos from that, but eventually he just took his tie and put it on. Then they had some champagne all together and started having dinner.

The studio version of Magdalena (Livet före döden) is available on iTunes Sweden (currently charting at number 11) and Spotify. Unfortunately, there are  no studio versions of the song yet on the web, probably because Sylvia's songs were not very known or appreciated from Swedish people. However, we will try to post the studio version as soon as we find it.

EDIT: Here you can finally listen to the studio version of Magdalena (Livet före döden).
